medelaI got this note from Medela and thought it was pretty useful information to share:

“A nursing mom is typically familiar with the health and bonding benefits that come with breastfeeding. What she might not know, however, is that many health insurance plans cover certain breastfeeding-related expenses—whether it be breastpump rental/purchase or a visit with a lactation consultant.

Because coverage for these expenses varies widely among different health insurance plans, Medela worked with respected insurance experts to provide families with reimbursement-related resources to help them determine what their insurance will cover. This information can now be found on Medela’s new insurance reimbursement site at www.breastfeedinginsurance.com.”

Stash with Trash: Repurpose all those Containers

Before tossing it into the recycling bin or trash can, take a moment to think about how you can repurpose a lot of your household trash. For example, a leftover egg carton can be used to organize a craft drawer, or separate tiny hair pieces. Let your kids paint it for more style. An empty diaper wipes container is perfect for storing plastic grocery bags in the car or nursery, or you can repurpose it as a storage box for crayons, toy parts or other craft supplies. Got a messy top drawer in your office? Glass baby food jars are perfect for storing paperclips, push pins and other small office supplies.
