Image Fab find - BABYBJÖRN Soft BibOne of the most frustrating things about meal time with a toddler is the unbelievable mess. So, I searched high and low for the best products to make this time of day just a little easier for me. We’ve used just about every type of bib on the market and I’ve yet to see any that hold up to the BABYBJÖRN Soft Bib.

When my son first started to self -feed, many similar bibs were pulled from the shelves because of toxicity. I stumbled across the BABYBJÖRN Soft Bib when I was ordering diapers and luckily you can now find them in most baby supply stores.

These bibs are perfect. They are easy to wipe off and use again, and they catch just about everything in the big pouch. My son has even been known to pick the food back out of the pouch and eat it.

According to the company’s website, the bib is ergonomically designed to fit your child’s body. The neck is designed like a bead necklace with continuous fastening, so it can be individually adjusted to fit your growing child. (this unique fastener also makes it more difficult to remove than classic Velcro bibs). The BABYBJÖRN Soft Bib is also dishwasher-safe, although I just wipe ours down with soapy water and call it a day.

Each bib costs about $9 and can be found on Amazon and in many baby supply stores.

Stash with Trash: Repurpose all those Containers

Before tossing it into the recycling bin or trash can, take a moment to think about how you can repurpose a lot of your household trash. For example, a leftover egg carton can be used to organize a craft drawer, or separate tiny hair pieces. Let your kids paint it for more style. An empty diaper wipes container is perfect for storing plastic grocery bags in the car or nursery, or you can repurpose it as a storage box for crayons, toy parts or other craft supplies. Got a messy top drawer in your office? Glass baby food jars are perfect for storing paperclips, push pins and other small office supplies.
